EMT程序

初始EMT认证过程

Upon successful completion of the EMT course (紧急医疗服务 - EMS 2 & EMS 2 w), the student must successfully pass the National Registry of 急救医疗技术员s (NREMT) 认证 examination and complete an EMS agency application for 认证 在最后一天上课后的23个月内.

We provide you with the necessary coursework and information regarding applying for 认证. 只有EMS机构才能认证一个人是EMT. EMT证书 is good statewide, and 认证 can be completed through any California Local EMS代理.

挑战考试

Persons may obtain an EMT-1 certificate by successful completion of an approved challenge 检查如果:

  1. They are a currently licensed Physician in one of the United States, a Registered 护士，医师助理或职业护士.
  2. They provide documented evidence of having successfully completed an EMS training 程序 of the Armed Forces including the Coast Guard of the United States within the preceding 2 years that meets the Department of Transportation (DOT) EMT-l standard 课程.
  3. An individual who was active in the last 2 years in a pre-hospital classification 包括海岸警卫队在内的武装部队.
  4. A currently licensed, out of state Paramedic or Advanced 急救医疗技术员 (A-EMT).

  4. Previously completed an EMT course from another school or state. (现行有效CPR) certificate/card — either Healthcare Provider Level CPR or Professional Rescuer CPR).
  5. Medical experience determined to be an acceptable substitute, as determined by the EMT项目总监. (You still must have a current CPR certificate) Supporting documentation of experience must be provided prior to the first 堂课 for approval. 验收 into the 程序 is at the sole discretion of the course director.  The director maintains the right to refuse any request for any reason.

You must be eighteen (18) years of age to take the EMT courses.

  

EMS 2 -学生健康要求

学生 must provide proof of the following immunizations by the third 堂课.  Blood titers are the preferred method proof of immunization for the EMT 程序. 学生 not providing documentation of all required immunizations will be dismissed from the 程序.

急救医疗技术员 进修课程 (EMS 4)

All State of California certified EMT’s must re-certify every 2 years to maintain 他们的认证.

To re-certify, an EMT in the state of California must complete 24 hours of continuing education and pass a skills competency verification examination. 健康85班 满足重新认证的所有工时和测试要求. The student must complete their re-认证 through the Local EMS代理 they 通过认证.

EMT refresher courses are offered at “大学 once every Fall and Spring semester. No Health 85 classes are offered during the summer session.  To be eligible for the EMT refresher course, the student must have a current EMT 认证 过期时间不超过2年. 查看当前的课程表 健康85.

For more specific information on how to re-certify, contact the Local EMS代理 you 通过认证. Re-认证 of your NREMT card is not required to maintain your state of California 认证. Taking the Chabot college Health 85 class does not recertify an EMT, it only provides continuing education hours and skills competency verification documentation for the EMT to complete re-认证 through their EMS代理.
